Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us at the Manchester Animal Shelter!  We always are so very LUCKY to have such generous supporters and adopters  –  we appreciate you!
This month has brought us days where we only have a handful of adoptable animals and days where we are bursting at the seams!   Being a stray facility, we never really know what tomorrow will bring but we are always ready, all hands on deck to help in achieving our mission of giving Manchester’s animals a better tomorrow.
7 years ago a southern pup was transported to snowy NH to find his forever home.  We were excited to get this wonderful update from his forever family.
“Hi, I just wanted to thank you all for my dog, Jackson. He was previously Corky, from south Carolina, and he turns 7 today! That (photo below) was him during our 4th of July 3K road race last year.
We rescued him right after Christmas of 2011, he was 9 months old. You guys opened even though it was really snowy so we could get him – he’s been an amazing boy!”
Our annual events calendar is up! You can check out the complete list by clicking HERE. There truly is something for everyone.  We will be kicking off the month of May with our Putts for Paws Golf Classic at Stonebridge Country Club. The outing will be best ball format and will feature a day of fun on the links, lunch, raffles, silent auctions and much more!  Golfers can sign up solo or grab a foursome and register to play Friday, May 4th,  by clicking HERE.  We are also looking for hole sponsors, bev cart sponsors and Air Cannon sponsors.  Opportunities begin as low as $100!
Know a business that would love some extra exposure?  Send them our way!  We have sponsorship opportunities for all of our events and our Mutt Strut (9/16)  is accepting vendor applications as well.  Our events coordinator can be reached at to discuss options.
Thursday March, 29 we will be Raising Dough atPanera Bread on March Ave in Manchester. Let them do the cooking and help us to raise money for Manchester’s stray, abandoned and abused animals. From 4PM- 8PM let the cashier know you are there to support us and 20% of your check will be donated to the shelter.
                                                  Adoptable “Lucky Charms”
Merlin is a “Magical” guy who is looking for his forever home.  He is a handsome short haired fella with gleaming yellow eyes.  He would do well in a home with other cats and would be happiest not to have any dogs living in his “castle.”  To learn more about Merlin click HERE
This super handsome guy is a 7 month old Pit/Lab mix who is currently looking for bit of LUCK in finding a new home. He is a sweet, playful puppy who with training and exercise will make the perfect companion. He is ok with other dogs and may be ok with a dog savvy cat.    For more information about Dennis, click HERE

Sandy is one of our PAWsome shelter volunteers. She cares for and walks dogs.   When asked about her reason for volunteering she told us- “Tossing around a ball so that a dog can have an awesome playtime, taking a picture capturing a soulful expression that a potential adopter may see, comforting a fearful little pal. Our time on this earth is limited and I want my life to make a difference, this is why I love volunteering at the Manchester Animal Shelter.”
Sandy is pictured with Benita. Benita is a shelter alumni who has been missing since 2015. We are not giving up hope that she will be found. You can follow Help Find Benita by clicking HERE.
