Fostering Cats

Mothers with kittens – It is less stressful and a healthier environment for moms to be able to nurse their babies until they have reached 8 weeks old and become available
for adoption.

Hospice – perhaps the cat is old, has stayed with us a very long time and simply needs to be away from the very stressful shelter environment for a period of time or has some sort of chronic medical condition. Hospice homes can be long term.

Bottle babies – Sometimes very young kittens come in that for some reason no longer have a mom for them to nurse on. They need someone to monitor and feed them until they are old enough to eat on their own.

Kittens – Kittens often come in that are eating on their own but are not old enough to be
adopted.
