COME VISIT US

Our shelter is located in beautiful Manchester, New Hampshire, just minutes from highway 293. The shelter is wholly operated by the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter (FMAS), a non-profit organization comprised almost entirely of volunteers.

The shelter serves the community by taking in stray and homeless animals, providing them with medical treatment, food, and shelter, and then making them available for adoption to the general public. The process is never ending as each year nearly 1,000 cats and 300+ dogs find their way to our door.

The shelter boasts an in-house spay/neuter program, assuring that every animal that passes through will no longer contribute to the city's pet overpopulation problem. We are especially proud that the animals at our shelter are not needlessly euthanized. We have learned that there is a loving home waiting for every animal, even the old ones... sometimes it just takes awhile to find it.

As a non-profit facility, the shelter is dependent on volunteers and donations from the public for its survival. If you love animals and share our vision of a truly humane animal shelter, we hope you will support our cause. Please accept this invitiation to get involved. There are so many different ways you can help!
