On Friday, October 23, 2026, Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter invites our community to come together for the 2026 Wizard of Pawz Gala, There’s No Place Like a Furrever Home. This special fundraising event will celebrate the compassion that changes animals’ lives while helping Manchester Animal Shelter continue caring for homeless, abused, and abandoned pets.

Every ticket, gift, and show of support helps move us closer to a future where more animals have the safety, care, and loving homes they deserve. If you care about animal welfare in Manchester, New Hampshire, this is an evening with a meaningful purpose behind every moment.

A Night Inspired by the Meaning of Home

The theme, There’s No Place Like a Furrever Home, is a heartfelt reminder of what every animal at Manchester Animal Shelter needs most: a secure place to belong. A furrever home is more than a roof overhead. It is the patient welcome, dependable care, and lasting connection that help a pet feel safe.

For animals arriving without that security, the shelter provides a place to begin again. Some have been abandoned, some have experienced abuse, and others simply need a safe landing place while they wait for the right family. Through Manchester Animal Shelter adoption, dogs, cats, and other pets can take the next step toward the homes they have been waiting for.

Why This Gala Matters to Shelter Pets

Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, also known as FMAS, supports the work that helps pets receive compassionate care while they are waiting to be adopted. Gala support helps strengthen shelter space and animal care, creating more opportunity for animals to rest, recover, receive attention, and prepare for their next chapter.

That impact is personal. It can mean a cleaner, more comfortable space for a dog finding confidence after a difficult start. It can mean attentive care for a cat learning to trust again. It can mean vital resources that help the shelter continue welcoming animals who need help.

When our community supports this fundraising event for an animal shelter in Manchester, NH, it is investing in care that begins at the shelter and continues through the moment an animal meets the family that says, “You are home.”

Celebrating the People Who Make a Difference

Great animal welfare work is never accomplished alone. Manchester Animal Shelter relies on a caring network of adopters, foster families, volunteers, donors, community partners, and neighbors who believe that animals deserve protection and kindness.

The Wizard of Pawz Gala is an opportunity to celebrate that shared commitment. Whether you have adopted a pet, volunteered your time, donated supplies, encouraged a friend to adopt a dog in Manchester, NH, or simply cheered on the shelter’s mission, you are part of the larger story of hope for local animals.

Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter is proud to bring supporters together around a common goal: helping more pets move from uncertainty to safety, and from temporary shelter to a loving furrever home.

From Shelter Care to Pet Adoption in Manchester

For many people looking to adopt a cat in Manchester, NH or welcome a dog into their family, the first connection starts at the shelter. That connection can grow into a life-changing relationship for both the pet and the adopter.

The adoption mission at Manchester Animal Shelter is central to everything we do. Animals deserve the chance to be seen for who they are, and prospective adopters deserve thoughtful support as they look for a companion who fits their home and lifestyle. The phrase “furrever home” captures that hope perfectly: not just finding any home, but finding the right one.

The 2026 gala helps support the space and care that make those new beginnings possible. It is a powerful way to stand with rescue dogs, rescue cats, and other animals as they wait for their next family.
